SUMMER FESTIVAL JULY 10, 11, 12
 
HELP NEEDED!!
 
Monday, Tuesday July 6th and 7th at 6:00PM
CLEAN-UP and SET-UP at the Pavilion. Lots of help will be needed to get the grounds ready.   Please lend a hand if you are able.

BOX PACKING FOR THE STANDS
We will prepare boxes for the various stands.   It would be good if all stand owners could come and prepare your own box. 
 
Thursday morning, July 9th at 9:30AM.
FOOD PREP We will need help slicing and dicing vegetables, onions & do other prep work for the food stand.
 
FESTIVAL SIGNS
Please take one or more of our Festival Signs located at the front entrance of the Church.   Display it in high traffic areas such as a business or street corner.
 
DONATIONS NEEDED
Crafts  Mystery Gifts, (New items that should cost at least $5 and be wrapped attractively). -Theme Baskets, (Baskets filled with items that go with a certain theme. various sizes and values) Plants for the plant stand. May be dropped off the 1st night of the Festival or before.
 
Please drop off Mystery Gifts, Crafts, and Theme Baskets by Thursday July, 9th. 
 
DESSERTS
Consider baking something for one or more nights of the Festival.   We look for homemade cakes, pies, cookies, breads, muffins, and other treats. Bring them each night of the Festival.
 
 
SPONSORS
We are still soliciting sponsors for the Festival stands.   If you would like to be a sponsor, either for your business or yourself, Please contact Lori at the rectory.   Sponsors have signs made with the name of the business or the individual (in honor of/in memory of).   General Sponsorship is $50, General and a Booth is $75.00, $100.00 for General, Booth and Bulletin Sponsors.
 
RAFFLE TICKETS
Thank you to those who have purchased or returned their raffle tickets. Please make returns as soon as possible. More tickets are available by contacting the rectory.

MIDNIGHT MASS
So that the Festival Workers may “sleep-in” Sunday morning, there will be a special mass at Midnight next weekend.   All are welcome.
  
 
SANCTUARY FLOWERS
If anyone wishes to donate the altar flowers during the summer months in memory of someone or in honor of someone’s special occasion, please contact Lori at the rectory office for more details.
 
 
The 2nd Collection this Weekend
The 2nd Collection on the first weekend of the month has been designated by the Bishop as “The Collection for the Care and Education of Priests.”  
Please use the envelopes that were sent home.
 
 
 NOVENA AND FEAST DAY
Our Patroness’ Feast Day is July 16th. We will have a special mass on that day at
7:00PM. All are urged to attend. We will also offer a Triduum novena leading up to the Feast Day with special masses at 12 Noon followed by the Novena of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Mass will be at 12 Noon, Tuesday and Wednesday July 14 and 15.   Please take part in these special days in the spiritual life of our parish. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Pray for Us.
 
CONFIRAMTION STUDENTS
A reminder to Confirmation Candidates that there is a special session presented by Father Joe next Sunday at 9:30AM.   The Class will attend the 11:00AM mass together after the session. All Confirmation students are expected to be in attendance.
 
 ST. ANN’S NOVENA
St. Ann’s novena will once again be prayed for 9 days before the feast Day of July 26th. On that Sunday, there will be a Mass in the Polish language celebrated at 1:15 at St. Ann’s Basilica in Scranton.   Congregational singing of Polish hymns will begin at 1:00PM. Choir members are invited to the choir loft before the mass to help lead the congregation in singing.
